Philippines employment situation analysis

4. The unemployment population was 3.42million, an increase of 15,000 from the previous year, and the unemployment rate was 10.2%, which was deteriorating from 9.8% in the same period of the previous year.

5. The hidden unemployment or the population of unemployment is 4.63 million, 15.3%of the total labor population, an increase of 1.3 percent over the same period last year. These people are in a state of half-work and half-rest, and most of them are engaged in temporary simple labor, and the risk of unemployment is greater.

6. The unemployment rate in this area reaches double digits. They are Wikang Tagalog region (11.7%), Central Asia Bisaya region (11.2%), Luzon Island (10.8%), and Icarus (10.3%).
